Last week I didn't post about my Wednesday workout, which consists of x minutes of pick up sport of choice. I decided to practice jumping during this allotment of time, because I don't play a sport and simply train vertical jump for the love of it. Anyways, I decided to post this workout because I dunked unusually well, especially compared to how I was jumping and dunking on the court at my house two weeks ago when we did our initial testing. My dunks especially were notably smoother and easier. I don't know whether this is to be attributed to true vertical jump gains or to my body becoming accustomed to performing at optimal athletic levels. If I had to guess I would say it is a little bit of both factors. Anyways, I just thought I would make note of that, it has me even more excited to continue this experiment with full determination and effort and achieve the maximum results that I possibly can.
Also, I haven't mentioned this as of yet, but I am altering the upper-body workout design of the Vertfreak101 program. I would HIGHLY recommend that you do not do this and just follow the program. However, I have the luxury of being able to train every day without question, and therefore have decided to break my splits down into more specific categories, such as a separate chest, shoulder, and back day. This works well for me and I prefer it, so I have made the decision to craft my own upper body routine. I will post my entire routine for the upper body soon if anyone is interested. However, I will not post too often about my upper body progress, except for progress on major lifts every once in a while.
