I finished my first Vertical Mastery workout yesterday and my legs are a little sore. Here’s how my day went:
Previous nights sleep: 9 hours
Wake time: 9 am
Morning weight: 169 lbs
Workout: Today’s workout was basically all high-intensity plyometrics
Weightlifting: All bodyweight exercises today, so no heavy weightlifting
Eating/Nutrition: Total calories for the day ended up being right around what I’m shooting for (2500). I went out to eat, which I don’t do very often, but I probably had a heavier dinner than I should be eating. Most of my meals consisted of lean meats with some type of carb and healthy fat, so I’m pretty happy so far.
Recovery: Rest and post-workout nutrition was good but I didn’t really stretch or ice afterwards, which I should start doing.
Asleep time: 11 pm
Notes/Observations: I think today was a good start to my Vertical Mastery program. I need to watch what I eat which I’m guessing will be my biggest challenge throughout the summer. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this hard work will pay off!
