Yesterday I completed my first Vertfreak101 workout, and today, I am SORE.  It felt good to get this vertical jump competition going, I am excited to see where it takes my vertical.  Here are some notes about yesterday.

Previous nights sleep: 6.5 hours
Wake time: 8:30 AM
Morning weight: 205.6 lbs.
Full squat max (ATG): Got 185, missed 200 barely (possibly could have gotten it, but I am lifting alone so I would rather be safe that sorry)
Workout: Today the Vertfreak 101 workout was supposed to contain testing, but since we did all our testing already I just did some plyometrics and maximum height jumps
Weightlifting:  Lots of squats today, I failed on my final set which means that the suggested percentages and weights are near spot on
Eating/Nutrition: Ate about 300 calories under my target of 3500.  The day was hectic and I had family plans which messed up my meal timing.  The only unhealthy thing I had was an energy drink in the morning.  Skinless chicken breasts are a staple in my diet, I had about 3 lbs of those, hopefully I don't get sick of them.
Recovery: I rested after my workouts and ate well, but did not stretch, ice, or anything of the sort.  Those are a couple of things I want to get into the habit of doing.
Asleep time: 11:30
Notes/Observations: Overall I had a great start on my first day of the Vertfreak101 program.  I went to bed early, probably because I was full and completely taxed from the workouts.  Not a bad thing though because recovery and sleep are keys to obtaining optimal gains.
Today's grade: 8/10
